Welcome to the New Seahawk Perch

After several years on Substack, we’ve decided to establish a permanent home for The Perch!

Along with what we’ve been doing with Perchcast over the past few seasons, this site will allow us to dive further into written and visual content for the 2026-27 season. Obviously, we’ll be focused on the Seahawks, but we’re hopeful to expand our work on CAA basketball and mid-major hoops as a whole.

Perhaps the biggest change you’ll see around here is our work on preserving and celebrating the history of UNCW Men’s Basketball, along with the CAA. We’re just getting started on that, but excited to share where we’re at.

The database and record book is a living, work-in-progress project that will see regular updates and additions. If you have suggestions, corrections, or information that would be helpful, please reach out to us via social media or shoot an email to TheSeahawkPerch@gmail.com.

Information has been compiled and confirmed through various sources: UNCW Athletics, College Basketball Reference, KenPom, CAA record books, VerbalCommits, and various other news sources.

We’re hopeful that compiling this data will be a great resource for everyone that loves the Seahawks, along with mid-major and CAA hoops as a whole.
