Devontae Cacok Impresses In Preseason Debut

The former Seahawk begins his second year with the Lakers organization.

Former UNCW big man Devontae Cacok impressed in the first game of the preseason, logging 25 minutes, and posted eight points, six rebounds, and a pair of steals as the Los Angeles Lakers topped the Clippers 87-81

He shot 4/7 from the field, and recorded a solid +5 plus-minus.

The Lakers were without Anthony Davis, so Cacok, along with Montrezl Harrell and Kostas Antentokounmpo saw extended minutes for the preseason clash.

It was evident early in the game that Cacok and Talen Horton-Tucker possessed tremendous chemistry, which makes sense due to their time spent together in the G League for the South Bay Lakers.

Cacok didn’t see much time with the NBA club last season, but was name first-team All-NBA G League and All-Rookie team after averaging 19.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals.
